State Seed Laboratory Staff
The Indiana State
Seed Laboratory functions as the "official" state testing laboratory for
Indiana in support of the administration and enforcement of the Indiana Seed
Law. Analysts employed in the laboratory are trained in specific
testing procedures and techniques as set forth in the "Rules For Testing
Seeds" established by the Association of Official Seed Analysts, Inc.
(AOSA). The Indiana State Lab is a charter member of the AOSA and all tests
performed are conducted under AOSA Rules.
Staff members currently employed in the lab are as follows:
Barbara Clark, Analyst (purity)
Barbara began her employment as a full-time analyst in the laboratory on March
3, 1980 and received initial training in purity analysis. She functions
as the lead analyst in the purity section and received her AOSA Certification
in purity testing on June 15, 1988 from the Association.
Laura Donaldson, Analyst (purity & germination)
Laura began her employment as a full-time analyst in the laboratory on January
1, 1996 and received initial training in both germination and purity analysis. She
currently is in charge of specialized testing in the lab, specifically with herbicide
tolerance testing. She received her AOSA Certification in germination
on June 18, 1997 from the Association.
Minoo Faghihi, Analyst (purity)
Minoo began her employment as a full-time analyst in the laboratory on February
23, 2005 and received initial training in both purity and germination analysis.
She functions as one of two primary purity analysts in the laboratory.
Jodi Small, Analyst (germination)
Jodi began her employment as a 9-month analyst in the laboratory on March
3, 2005 and received initial training in germination analysis. She
functions as one of two primary germination analysts in the laboratory.
Carol Sprague, Secretary
Carol serves the laboratory and seed administrator as the lead secretary
responsible for all clerical duties, including laboratory analysis report
generation and mailing. She began her employment in the laboratory
on December 1, 1981.
