Additional Requirements for Category 3b and
Category 7b Certified Applicators For Hire
       
In order to become a certified applicator for a for-hire licensed business in turf pest control (Category 3b) or wood destroying pest control (Category 7b), an individual must:
Category 3b
  a. Complete a State Chemist approved multi-day training program designed to provide practical experience. Contact Purdue Pesticide Programs at 765-494-4566 or click here for the dates of the next available program; OR
  b. Work as an active Registered Technician (RT) for a Category 3b licensed business for at least 90 days; OR
  c. Work as a licensed applicator in any category for at least one year; OR
  d. Complete a formal post high school, two-year minimum, turf program and submit official transcript to OISC for approval.
       
Category 7b
